Nachdem wir eine heisse Schokolade mit Petite Beurre direkt unter dem Palacehotel in Gstaad genossen hatten und wir unsere Via Alpina Büchlein im Touristenbüro gestempelt haben, liefen wir los.
Es ist wieder strahlend schönes Wetter. Keine einzige Wolke ist am Himmel zu sehen und es soll warm werden.
Bis aufs Eggli führte der Trail sehr steil durch einen Wald hinauf bis zur Bergstation der Egglibahn.
Von nun an konnten wir den Col de Jable erkennen.
Bis dorthin siehts dann auch nicht mehr so steil aus.
Einen kleinen Hügel war noch zu passieren. Nachdem wir durch den romantischen Wald mit stetigem Blick auf die Gummfluh durchwandert haben, war es nicht mehr weit bis auf die Passhöhe des Col de Jable (1884m.)
Wir assen unser Mittagessen allerdings auf der Steinmauer die vermutlich die französische Schweiz von der Deutschschweiz trennen sollte.
Also sassen wir schätzungsweise auf 1885m.
Von nun an steht also definitiv Französisch an.
Nicht etwa dass mich das noch zusätzlich verwirren würde bei meinem ohnehin schon sprachlichen Mischmasch...
Oben auf dem Gipfel konnten wir dann auch schon den Rochers de Naye sehen.

Der Abstieg runter nach L'Etivaz erwies sich als ziemlich steil und steinig und führte uns erneut durch den Wald.
L'Etivaz ist ein kleines Dörfchen mit einem Hotel und einer Käserei. Weniger als 200 Menschen leben dort.
Wir fanden wir innert aber alles was wir brauchten.
Coke, Glace, Sandwiches und Schoggi.
Wir liefen noch etwas weiter Richtung Rochers de Naye und schliefen bei Vollmond an einem wunderschönen See (Lac d Hongrin).
After our morning hot chocolate and cookies right below the famous palace hotel in Gstaad and after we filled our little booklets with two other stamps, we started hiking out of town. The first part of today was very steep. The weather was sunny and was even getting hot, so we were happy this steep part was through the forest.
As we reached the top of the Eggli cable car station we could already see our today's möuntain pass. The Col de Jable.
I was glad to see it wouldn't be that steep anymore.
We only had to walk over a little hill. The trail showed us a romantic forest with a steady view of the Gummfluh.
I really enjoyed this walk.
From there it was not that far to the top of the pass at 1884 meters.
For lunch we sat on the rocky wall which must have been built years ago to separate the French and German part of Switzerland.
So I guess we at least sat on 1885 meters for lunch.
From now on we'll find only French speaking language.
Not that this would confuse me even more with my language mixture anyway...
The downhill into L'Etivaz was steep and rocky. All through the forest though so it wasn't too hot.
L'Etivaz is a very small place with only a hotel, a shop and a bus stop but we found everything we needed. Coke, Ice cream, Sandwiches and chocolate.
We carried on walking for a while and slept under a fullmoon at a beautiful lake.
